1300A - Intact Muscle/Whole Mouse Test System
Ideal for live animal protocols including injury and longitudinal studies. Complete test system for evaluating the mechanical characteristics of intact muscle of mice, either isolated in situ, with a footplate (ex vivo) or isolated in vitro. Peak forces of up to 1N or peak torques of up to 3N-cm. For in situ and ex vivo (footplate) experiments the mouse rests prone on a heated limb platform with clamps for affixation. For in vitro experiments the muscle preparation is held horizontally in a water heated bath plate. Both force and length are controlled and measured with this system. Length-tension, force-velocity, force-frequency, stiffness, fatigue and work loop protocols can all be measured with this system.
